Hey Whey,

 Here is some feedback from he client

It’s all working very well and they are very happy with it, this is some additional output display information and a few more tweaks of the data
We should reverse the order of the "no needles" drop down and the "needle gauge" drop down, so gauge will display above the number of needles instead of below it and when you change gauge the number of needles does not reset because it is not dependent of guage but on the drug drop down

The client also said that the pump should not get reset because it is not dependent upon any other selection. At this point I will add the basic principle to work on, which is that if a drop down value is not dependent upon another value then it should not get reset because it saves the user having to select it many times as they refine their selections

The weight drop down should only display for gammaguard and klovig ( I make no effort to spell correctly from memory:-)…otherwise clear it and hide it when other drugs are selected
In the output section they want us to highlight in orange any items which are unset/zero
The outputs should display in a light yellow area at the bottom after all the drop downs and the outputs should be displayed in two columns …we can remove the checkbox for warnings and just make warnings the default behaviour

The max-width of the whole calculator is 980px we should crate a page with an iframe in it that is 980px wide and unlimited height (i.e. with no scroll bars). we can use this to exactly duplicate how it will work when installed.

They decided they also want to show needle length and they want to show that information in the needle code drop down menu (so it just means pasting in some additional information into each needle set code for display purposes only) I have attached a spreadsheet which I created to make it as easy as possible. It contains the codes and the matching needle lengths. Hopefully this is jus a slightly tedious cut and paste job. An example of how the "Specific needle set code” drop down will display is:
SUB-212 Needle Length: 12mm

I think we are done after making these changes.

Thanks as always Whey.

Hi Whey,

Before I go further I have some more info regarding the split between the "infuset calculator" and the "versarate calculator". There is a new usability requirement which should be easy to accommodate. The requirements is that the two appear visually separate to the user, hopefully we can easily do this by passing a parameter in a link e.g.

http://calculator.html?type=infuset
http://calculator.html?type=versaRate

Using these links the first option of the calculator (“Flow Regulator”) would therefore be hidden from view but correctly populated based on the name/value pair passed in the links above.

This way we can keep the current code as it is in one main file and satisfy the usability issue the client ants addressed.

There is a bit more work to do as we have discussed, the description is as follows:
see attached for two flow sheets, one is for the "infuset calculator" and one is for the "versa rate calculator” (same one I gave you yesterday). ….please select the “ignore links” option when you open them
First off if you scroll over t the far right of each sheet you will see some examples in the white area (outside the row and column colored area…you can disregard all this other than as a helpful example of the final output.
The "versant flow rate chart" gives you only 4 things you need to worry about as the inputs to work out the flow rate (and a few other outputs). The 4 things are
The Pump (only two types) column B
The final infusion set code (e.g. SUB-109-G24) cols D/E
The drug
Versarate Position
…so if the form drop downs show Freedom 60 / SUB-209-G24 / Hizentra / Versa Rate Position: 2…then the Flow rate is = 18.6ml (which must then be rounded up to 19ml). There are also some very simple calculations to produce further output metrics but I will not go into them yet
The “infuset rate chart has the same inputs to produce a final flow rate except that the last variable is the type of Infuset(e.g. "Infuset-190”) instead of the VersaRate position

I will chat with you more on this in your morning. Skype me when u r ready. if I am in a meeting I will talk as soon as I get out of it.

Please track your time for this extra work and I will bill the client for it and pay you accordingly at the agreed $25 hourly rate?

…oh I sent you a bit more money :-)

Hopefully this all makes sense Whey ?

alert(jsonObject.start.priorities.length);
    var length = jsonObject.start.priorities.length;
    for (var i=0; i < length; i++) {
        var ctr = jsonObject.start.priorities[i];
        alert(ctr.txt)
    }

var getUrlParameter = function getUrlParameter(sParam) {
    var sPageURL = decodeURIComponent(window.location.search.substring(1)),
        sURLVariables = sPageURL.split('&'),
        sParameterName,
        i;

    for (i = 0; i < sURLVariables.length; i++) {
        sParameterName = sURLVariables[i].split('=');

And this is how you can use this function assuming the URL is,

var blog = getUrlParameter('blog');
